General Discussion
Coming down to 1 last night in the harbor then it's dry dock for 7 months and 10 days. My upgrade/maintenance list isn't quite as big this year as last, but it will still be nice to have projects over the winter.
It was a great summer! We visited 7 different harbors, sometimes multiple times. Ran over 1,100 nautical miles and had calm seas 95% of the time. Thanks to our good friends Matt & Tammi, we were invited to visit Beaver Island for the very first time in our boating lives. What a GREAT island and even greater weekend with some dear friends to enjoy a spectacular wedding.
We also became very close to some new friends Matt & Paula. Last year we were slightly more than acquaintances via Ken & Cindy, but this year we went on 3 boating trips with them. (Mac Island, Beaver Island and Frankfort). We also were able to travel with Joel & Amy for the first time in many years to Mac Island and the city, it was a great time as usual.
Ports visited:
Traverse City x 2
Mac Island x 5
Beaver Island
Jacobson's Marine Frankfort x 2
Straits State Harbor x 2
Cheboygan city marina
Keenan Marina Spring Lake (on a friends boat).
Boating life is amazing and we get to share it with so many great people that become great friends.
Where will next summer take us?? North Channel perhaps? Definitely back to Beaver Island, TC for sure and of course our favorite destination Mac Island.
For those of you that ghet to keep your boats afloat all year, be sdafe and have a great winter!
What a day to haul out. Record temps at 85° in Elk Rapids!
